Spring 2008

The cab panels for the F5 have been cut and delivered to Ovington.

Meet the F5 Trust! The Holden F5 Steam Locomotive Information Stand will be appearing at the Barking Model Railway Club show at the Kingsley Halls, Parsloes Avenue, Barking on 15th March 2008. Doors open at 10.00. Car parking available

The chimney for the F5 has been cast using a pattern prepared by South Lincs Patterns. Two chimneys were cast, the other for the North Norfolk Railway based J15

Summer/Autumn 2007

The bunker and cab rear is expected to be completed by October. South Lincs Patterns is preparing a joint quote for the chimney for F5 67218 and the North Norfolk railway J15.

The Holden Publicity stand will be at North Weald Community Day, North Weald village hall , September 9th 10.00am, and the Chelmsford Model Railway Club exhibition will on Saturday 20th October 2007 at King Edward VI Grammar School, Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, Essex.

October 2006

The next items to be constructed will be the side tanks, bunker and cab.

Our attendance at the Chelmsford Model Engineering Exhibition was a great success with many visitors taking an interest in the stand.

September 2006

The new smokebox was delivered to Ovington in time for display at the open day on Bank Holiday Monday.

The smokebox and door were manufactured by R.K.Pridham Engineering Ltd; the door boss, dart, locking cross bar and hinge were all made by Trust member Jon Freeman and the handles were made by Graham Rowland.

There will be another opportunity to find out about the latest progress on Saturday 21st October when the information stand will be at the Chelmsford Model Engineering Exhibition, King Edward Grammar school, Chelmsford, Essex.

July 2006

The smokebox has now been manufactured.

June 2006

Nameplates and shed plates have been produced. The locomotive will take the number 67218

The smokebox is under construction and should be delivered by Easter.
