The frame plates for GER 789 were profiled by TaTa Steel on 13th March 2012. After recent discussions West Steam Design is to proceed with CAD plotting ahead of final machining.
It is anticipated that the 3D CAD drawings of the cylinder block and star stay will be completed by the first week in July. Subject to agreement the drawings will be sent to the patternmaker with a view to both polymer patterns being complete and ready for delivery to Premier Castings by mid August 2014.
