WHY NOT BECOME A MEMBER?
One of the best ways to keep up-to-date with developments on GER 789 is to become a Member of The Holden F5 Steam Locomotive Trust. Members receive updates collated from the Trustees, covering fundraising, engineering, publicity and more, all delivered directly to their residence. Membership to the Trust is affordable with an annual subscription of just £7.50 for adults, £6.00 for concessions, and free for under 16s; life membership is also available.
In addition to the above, members are also rewarded with a new perks system:
- All members paying by Standing Order, whose annual donation equates to £200 or more, will receive a seat on one of GER 789’s first publicly hauled trains.
- A member who has supported the Trust for a minimum of five consecutive years will also be entered into a draw for a seat on one of GER 789’s first publicly hauled services, providing their contribution equates to £100 or more.
- A member who has supported the Trust for ten consecutive years will be entered into a raffle for a seat aboard the inaugural train, providing their contribution equates to £100 or more; if a member is selected who has previously won a prize from the five-year raffle, they will have the option to pick from either prize closer to the time.
- A member, whose financial contribution equates to at least £2500, will be entered into a draw to win a footplate experience (to be drawn every two years.)
- Upon completion of GER 789, a member’s-only train will be run, aboard which all paid-up members, who have more than 12 months membership to their name, will be entitled to ride (subject to space.)
We welcome all members who wish to become actively involved with raising awareness of GER 789’s construction, be that through attending events with our publicity stall, or assisting with administrative tasks behind-the-scenes. Of course, you are under no obligation to do so, but we couldn’t progress without our dedicated volunteers.
